HEALING PENN - CREATIVE SOMATIC INTEGRATION

Trauma Informed Care

ABOUT ME - RACHEL PENN
Somatic Experiencing Practitioner | Transpersonal Art Therapist | Somatic Touch Therapist | NeuroAffective Touch Practitioner | Trauma-Informed Healing Practitioner.

Based in the greater Geelong region, I am a compassionate guide on the journey toward healing, embodiment, and self-discovery.

I have my own lived experiences which have inspired my journey and understand how when the body and the mind work together a different reality can be birthed.

With over a decade of specialized experience in nervous system care, I help individuals and groups reconnect with their bodies, reclaim agency, and cultivate resilience.

My work integrates a diverse and complementary range of modalities including Somatic Experiencing®, NeuroAffective Touch®, Integral Somatic Psychology, Transpersonal Art Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Safe and Sound Protocol, QiGong and Ritual. This holistic approach allows me to meet you wherever you are on your healing path, honouring the complexity of mind, body, and spirit.

I understand that trauma, whether developmental, sexual, birth-related, or otherwise can be deeply embedded in the nervous system and body, shaping our experience of safety, pleasure, boundaries, and connection.

Through gentle, attuned touch, somatic practices, movement, creative expression, and ritual, I help clients gently shift trauma patterns, connect with their blueprint birth right and open to new possibilities of healing and aliveness.

Whether you are working through addiction, birth trauma, developmental or sexual trauma, nervous system dysregulation, or simply seeking to deepen your embodied presence and joy, I offer a safe, respectful, and collaborative space to explore and grow.

My work invites curiosity, self-compassion, and empowerment helping you develop a richer, more embodied relationship with yourself and others.

I am available for individual sessions and group work, blending clinical expertise with soulful, creative, and somatic methods to support your unique journey.

I purchased a 12 month reading with the monthly clarity calls and I cannot recommend this enough!! Rachel has the most beautiful energy, and a really lovely way in explaining the cards and how they might show up. It’s educational and transformative. It’s really had a wonderful impact on my day to day life and outlook. I look forward to our monthly videos, in fact the minute she puts up the link to purchase next years, I’m in!

My brain can't even think of how to write about a somatic experiencing touch session.

It's barely something that I can describe and I have explained it to many people.

I don't think I have the words because it's a feeling.

So firstly, the thing I love about it the most is you, but apart from loving you as a person cos you're a legend, it's the safety and comfort that you intentionally build.

The "it's not too much" attitude with getting perfectly comfortable on the table.

The tiny adjustments the little extra bits of meeting needs, eye pillows, smells, pillow behind knees, temperature, blanket feel and weight.

All of this leads to the experience of caring for what's happening to your body.

And I've just realised writing this that there is literally no other place or time in my life that I give that level of

care and time for myself.

And then the way you keep asking for exactly the right position for your hands and how much I believe that it's no imposition for you to move slightly up, down, rotate etc.

And that makes me think of how many times, and as a recovering people pleaser it's a lot, "close enough" or "that will do" mentally when it comes to my comfort.

Not wanting to be annoying or an imposition.

Being able to make those little changes and adjustments and trusting that you really genuinely want to create the most comfort says something to my body/nervous system.

It says "you are worth speaking up for" "you deserve total comfort" "you are worthy".

From there the experience can be anything because it's not lead with the mind.

This is the part that I couldn't possibly describe.

This is the bit that you listen to what your body needs, describe it, talk to it everything and anything.

This table work for me has helped show me how to, on my own, practice the things we talk about.

It's helped me to know how to feel my feelings.

Identify things/feelings/what's happening in my body.
